So this week I happen to be in Dixon, IL. This is a small, quaint, sleepy little town. Dixon's claim to fame happens to be that this is place of Ronald Regan's boyhood home. We drive by it every time we come as if we expect to see a huge change in it's structure. One of my coworkers absolutely loved Ronald and Nancy.
I don't mind coming here, the people are welcoming, the hospital is nice and I enjoy shopping in the little boutiques downtown. However, every time I come here, I have a hard time adjusting to the time change. I don't know why, it's only 1 hour behind Orlando to which I'm used to. Last night I must have woken up 7-8 times checking to see what time it was. So if it was 3:00am, I look at the clock and immediately think "Okay, it's 3:00am here it's 4:00am at home, wonder what's going on? Why do I do that? I know what's going on at 4:00am, everyone is sleeping...duh. What the hell?
No where else does the time affect me like this. I go to California and I'm not affected by it, and it doesn't bother me. So today as I go to work and I periodically check the time, I will wonder what everyone is doing at home....can't help it.
Enjoy your view! I will enjoy mine as I spend it in the central time zone. I know I'm a dork!
