Question of the Day

Periodically I will be posting, "Questions of the day." Just random questions that pop into my head wanting to know the answers to. So today's question is, I wonder why my golf swing doesn't look as good or isn't nearly as effective as Lorena Ochoa's? Given the fact that she's the number one golfer in the world and she practices way more than I do might be one answer to that question. Who knows? I went to the Ginn Open here in Reunion this past weekend and I enjoyed seeing all the women on the LPGA.

I really like golf and I enjoy playing. It's very addicting, one shot could be the shot of your life and it may leave you wondering, "how the hell did that happen" The very next shot may be horrible and leaving you wondering "how the hell did that happen." However, in watching these girls play, (granted this is what they do for a LIVING, they are PRO GOLFERS) I was amazed at the beauty and of their games. Lorena Ochoa's swing is probably one of the best swings I have seen in my life and most shots are picture perfect. Go figure.

She's also pretty intriguing. Given all the fame and glory she has, it appears as though she doesn't thrive on it, she doesn't seem to soak up the limelight. She politely puts her hand up as if to say "thanks" she smiles and waves and they looks to the ground as though embarassed that she's getting all this attention. It's refreshing that she's so grounded and humble. She's not the typical athlete in our day in age.

So the next time I go and play, I'm going to try and swing a little better, harder, and see if I can get my game back on track. I would like to play more and see if I can improve. I'm rather athletic so I'm sure it can be done...get in better shape and see what happens.

All in all, I really enjoyed the weekend and am looking forward to the next tournament.
